  • Youth Tab 1

We value and believe in the younger generation. Youth are a big focal point of our activities at Mike's Place. Much of what we do is aimed at helping youth find the healthiest path to achieving the dreams they have for their immediate and distant futures.

IMPACT Service - Each Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 youth and adults come together for refreshments, worship and Impact Groups. Designated groups for middle school, elementary ages and adults. Come enjoy Impact Groups and experience focused discussion and support. This setting is where we dive into faith topics and gain deeper understanding of spiritual disciplines such as prayer, studying the Bible, and living a life-style of servanthood. Impact Groups are fun, safe, and supportive.

  • Comm. Service Tab 3

    Community Service at Mike's Place

We often work with volunteers who need community service hours for particular needs or programs. You may need hours to graduate, obtain health care, or perhaps you are fulfilling a court order. Volunteers are needed for yard maintenance, janitorial duties, and misc. projects that are always in the works.

All volunteers are supervised and no one works with youth and children without a thorough background check and screening. Call Mike's Place to find out if there are any areas for community service open.

  • Swap Shop Tab 5a

     swapshopNeighborhood Swap Shop
NOW OPEN Tuesday from 12pm to 6pm

Check out this fun and exciting way to recycle re-usable household itmes and get other items that would be useful to your own household. The Swap Shop at Mike's Place is set up like a thrift shop, but money is not required. What is required, is a trade of something similar to value in exchange for what you would like to take home with you, be it clothing, toys, or standard household items.

The Swap Shop is part of the HUB.. It is in position to help our neighbors come into contact with useful resources and it gives people the chance to help others while participating. This consists of Romper Room for your little ones, parenting seminars and more.

Do we take donations?? YES! Notice to our charitable partners out there: please remember that we are interested in up to date items that are clean and in perfect working order. Thank you for your consideration. Please be sure to call before bringing donations to our site as some catagories of donations may not be in demand at this time.

Anthony Conley and Daughter      Anthony Conley and Daughter

My name is Anthony Tyrene Conley. I moved to Battle Creek when I was 12 years old from Chicago, Illinois. I think Battle Creek is a good place to live and raise a family. I started doing community service here at Mike's Place through a program to help get dental work that I need. I have surpassed the hours I needed almost 70 hours ago, but I still continue to come here and help out, because I feel Mike's Place is a very good thing; Not only for the children but it is also somewhere the parents can interact with their children and as long as I can, I will continue to provide as much help to Mike's Place as I possibly can.
