Mike's Place is a community center in the heart of Post Neighborhood in Battle Creek. Our motto is: Loving our Neighbors Restoring Hope to Families. When the Battle Creek Public School District made the difficult decision to close Post school in 2008, Crosspoint Church, located just 10 blocks away, decided to take steps to purchase the vacant building, aiming to bring joy and hope to what has been perceived a
hope-less neighborhood. Mike's Place is owned by Crosspoint Church and operated by church members and many treasured volunteers.
We offer great opportunities to people of all ages. Please enjoy exploring this site and feel free to call with any questions. Mike's Place is open: Tuesday, 10:00 - 3:00 PM; Wednesday, 12:00 - 3:00 PM; Thursday, 10:00 - 3:00 PM Keep checking back to find out what new opportunities are happening!
A word about CROSSPOINT CHURCH -
Sunday Service at Crosspoint at 458 Main Street 10:30 - Impact Service Wednesday Evening at 6:00 for the entire family (groups for all ages)
Pastor Susan and Frank Morgan lead the congregation of Crosspoint that is largely comprised of residents of the neighborhoods surrounding the church and Mike's Place.
Crosspoint is a Spirit filled, Christian church. We teach the
Holy Bible and focus on: Love, Prayer, Serving Community, and Sharing the
Good News of Jesus Christ.
Whether you grew up in church or if you've never been, a service at Crosspoint is unlike what you might expect. No matter where you've been, no matter what you've experienced, you are welcome at Crosspoint.
A typical Sunday service includes a time of praise and worship, a message by Pastor Sue or another member of the church, and ministry time, where we will pray for your needs.
Frank & Pastor Sue have been married nearly 23 years with two wonderful young adult children that are also actively involved in the ministry. The Morgans were both raised in the neighborhood of Post Addition and were students of Post Elementary School which is now known as Mike's Place Center of Ministry
